I noticed dampness but not noticeable rain tonight. We had a pretty good
turnout, but I did go above and beyond promoting the LUG this month.
BTW, because I mentioned it to the group...there is a free Astronomy
Science Festival at the Pasadena Convention Center from 12pm to 4pm this
coming Sunday. It kicks off a week of astronomy events like lectures and
Astronomy on Tap at the local bars.

We had a decent turnout and fun conversations. I was happy to see
everyone.
We passed the hat to bring in $175. The last time we passed the hat was in
2023. I updated the SGVLUG Financials with both the contributions and my
annual payments for Meetup. We are paid up thru Sep 2026.
We workshopped some SCALE CFP candidates. I talked thru some ideas for the
teen workshop room at SCALE.
We are going to do something for the LUG 30th anniversary at SCALE. We
will set up a channel on the Slack to discuss. I was thinking of sending
out a Google form survey to solicit LUG memories to folks from our 20th
anniversary party and thru SCALE communication channels and word of mouth.
I also think it would be nice to try to meet other LUGs at SCALE and see
what our respective LUGs do. Ours mostly meets for dinner and help run
SCALE.
We are going to try for Supplyframe Design Lab or alternate venue for the
December meetup. Our backup plan is Pitfire Pizza. I think we need to
pass the hat again.
Since we decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary, I would like to clean
up our web presence so people know we are active and how to find us. I
also hope to uncover cool stories that we can add to our website.
