[SGVHAK] Reminder: Next SGVHAK meeting is Thursday 10/3

Hi all,

This is a reminder that there is NO MEETING this Saturday, Sep 28th.  Apologies to those of you who look forward to the Saturday meetings. The September 28th meeting is cancelled  because both Michael and I have conflicts next Saturday, and the library room reservation is in our names.


The next HAK meeting will be Thursday, Oct 3rd, at Dave's workshop.

Unless he tells us otherwise, I'll assume the meeting time is between 6:30pm and 9pm.

It is off Peck Road between Lower Azusa and Live Oak. It is two lights south of Live Oak.  Because it's later in the day, the gate may be shut.  Check to see if it is locked before giving up.


If Michael can make it, he can show off the  Android app he put together while learning how to do Android programming.    Also, he recently bricked his Raspberry Pi, so he can bring that in and see if anyone can unbrick it.


Braddock is hosting an Internet-in-a-Box work session during this time, so come if you're currently working on or would like to work on this project.

Also, for anyone who uses Dell laptops, do you have the power cord for the Dell PA-12 AC Adapter?  I have an AC adapter that will not charge my Dell laptop.  It's one of those adapters that comes in two parts.  Dave diagnosed the power cord as being bad.  I'm not sure if the other part is bad as well.   I figured I should see if anyone has a spare cable before I start looking to replace it or the entire AC adapter.  (If I had to replace it, I guess I would try to buy from Dell because the reviews for replacement AC adapters are disheartening--things catching on fire, melting, failing to charge.)
