You might want to look into DSL Extreme Fusion if it's available in your area.

Email says equipment is free, no mention of installation costs, but they will match or beat my current speed. I have their Elite which is their fastest residential DSL and get anywhere from 4 to 6 Mb down, 768 Kb up. I've been holding off making changes because I don't want to lose my static IP but if I can get just U-verse internet at a reasonable price without having to bundle TV or voice, then I may give them a try. Any thing I should ask when I call?

Kinda partial to TimeWarner since I know my TiVo's will work with their system and I'm happy with the channels we get now whereas I know ATT U-verse IPTV is not compatible with TiVo (connecting to their receivers via analog is not an option I will consider). So long term I'm more inclined to bundle cable and internet but I don't want to give up my hard phone line.
