The Caltech Entrepreneurs Forum has an event on Saturday, November 9th, from 8am to noon.  There will be speakers and a discussion panel.  The topic is the maker movement and how people are using open source standards and new technologies and crowdfunding to launch their companies.  

It requires registration.  The registration is $40 online, $50 at the door, and $10 for students.  (Free if you're a Caltech student.)
