[SGVHAK] Thursday meeting recap: 8/1

Wished I could have made it but was having build issues of my own at work
-- Solaris with really old compilers and relatively new packages just don't
match.  :(

I have gotten tired of Linux not recognizing the latest devices so you end
up having to boot strap your way in which is why I've gone Mac as well for
both home and work though I still have my old reliable fileserver running a
really old version of Mandriva.  It also helps if someone else is footing
the bill.
