Something came up, so I might not be able to go tonight.
Have fun making stuff!

Either because it is summer or because we've been lazy about posting reminders, I've noticed a much smaller turnout for SGVHAK meetings lately. So it's pretty much the same core group of people who attend all the meetings, whether they're on Meetup or not.
John's been nice enough to host extra meetings at Tux-Lab on Fridays or Saturdays depending on his mood.  It's a good time to get some serious work done on your projects.  There is a fridge full of drinks, various electronics tools for whatever you want to do, as well as some nifty machines for machining, routing, and laser cutting.  And a sewing machine and serger, which is what I'll be using on Friday.

There is the "public" meaning it is on Meetup meeting to night.
There is the not so public meaning just announced on the mailing list meeting this Friday and Saturday.
7 is not to late for any of them, The Public meeting usually raps up 9-9:30 followed by dinner. There is no Friday and Saturday meeting go until exhaustion.

Great.

I'm hoping to get there by 7 if that's not too late.

Oh, according to Meetup it's tonight or did it get moved to Friday and Sat?

David Flynn September 3, 2015 at 2:35 PM Bring what you have and we can talk about stuff.  I’ve used Arduino for some small projects so have others in our group.

Claude A. Felizardo September 2, 2015 at 8:17 PM Sorry, I just reread John's original message and realized that the SGVHAK meeting is this Thursday and not Friday?

Which night would be more appropriate for me to bring my project in and ask questions?
My TARDIS cabinet is basically done so now I'm working on the electronics.

Claude A. Felizardo September 2, 2015 at 1:32 AM Any arduino hackers planing on going Friday night?

I believe I'm going to exceed the number of I/O pins on an Uno so I'm contemplating upgrading to a Mega but have a few questions before I do.  Specifically looking for anyone with experience with the following:

1) Arduino Mega vs Yun
2) Hall effect sensors vs magnetic reed switches.
3) Synch LED strip to analog signal via PWM.
4) Using ethernet shield vs WiFi shield.

If I can get my project tidied up a bit I'll try to bring it.

BTW, did anyone else get burned by smartmaker on idiegogo that never shipped?
Has anyone ever ordered from and received anything from Gadgetcat.com located in FL?

Tux Lab August 31, 2015 at 5:47 PM fyi,

After Thursday night's hak session at Dave's, I'll host back to back
work session at Tux-Lab for Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

If you are coming on Friday night, please let me know and I'll get
pizza around 6pm.

thanks,

John
