[SGVHAK] Air hockey table surface and holes

I was reading this link about making air hockey tables:

They say that the holes should be 1 inch apart and are actually pretty small--1/32 or 1/16" inch.

Also, they were suggesting using plastic or laminate for the surface to keep things smooth and even.  I've read elsewhere that maintenance of air hockey tables can involve filling in dents with epoxy.

So maybe we may need another material on top of the plywood.
